Parker Knoll Ladies Chair circa 1930s in fabric supplied by Comersan SA. Fabric is available in a variety of colours, as a stripe or this featured traditional floral damask.  The back is deep buttoned and keen attention was paid to ensure even pattern matching on the pleats.

This chair was specially made for loose covers - shabby chic style - decidedly more shabby than chic!  This shows the process involved in loose cover making. Fabric is a reversible chenille from Comersan SA.

Before & After

One of our clients shipped this sofa from Madrid as she had seen and was impressed with the quality of our work. The sofa was first stripped, repaired and re-upholstered before tailored-to-fit removable covers were made. Removable covers produced in neutral tone 100% cotton fabric supplied by Athenea.

The furniture was in a holiday home which was rented out to all and sundry and so regular cleaning would be required.  Fabric was inexpensive mixed fibres and the furniture carcasses were not upholstered so only the base and back cushions had to be loose covered. We also replaced the foam in an attempt to bring the suite into this century!!

This traditional wrought iron garden chair with original mass produced removable cushion is one of a pair that was transformed by Room for Improvement.  The 'After' picture shows our custom-made removable loose cover with deeper seat pad for comfort.  Fabric is specially treated outdoor fabric from Ondacort Sureste.
